Periodontal (Gum) Disease

Periodontal (Gum) Disease is the #1 cause of tooth loss in America.

To prevent this from happening, one should brush and floss regularly. A mouthwash is also highly encouraged.

I cannot emphasize enough how one should floss a LOT.

If you notice after brushing, you still get food particles when you floss. There is no telling how much you still have in between your teeth and in between your gums.

That is why, a regular visit to the dentist is an obligation to maintain your healthy teeth and gums.

If this is not kept, one can suffer from Gum Disease. With Gum Disease, one needs to go through deep cleaning and antibiotic treatment if necessary.

After this procedure, the patient needs to come back to the dental office more often than normal to do periomaintenance.

Gums can easily be overlooked.

Sonicare Toothbrush, an electronic toothbrush, stimulates your gums up to 4 millimeters which helps maintain your gums.

I highly recommend the use of Sonicare Toothbrush.

It is available in our office for purchase for a very reasonable price. Call our office for more information!
